[rtg] findsnmp_hosts failed to find a host

I set up one machine to run rtg/btoneill and another to run net-snmp
daemon (snmpd) on 172.10.130.10.
I just set up the minimum that I believe I need:
snmpd -r -f -L -C --rocommunity="test 127.0.0.1" udp:161

>From my rtg/btoneill machine, I get the message
checking 172.10.130.10...   rsolves, pingable, wo/snmp, skipping

why is it saying "wo/snmpt"?
shouldn't the snmp agent (the daemon) reply?

I also tried witht he following snmpd.conf:
syslocation Mainframe, Computer Room, SE 1st Floor
syscontact "uriel_carrasquilla at ncci.com"
rocommunity public
disk /


I put this file in the directory indicated by:
snmpd -Dread_config -H 2>&1 | grep "config path" | sort -u

am I missing something here?
