bill fumerola wrote a very nice, and very comprehensive (read: *sick*,
in the parlance of our times) patch while at Yahoo! that makes the SQL
stuff way cleaner, amongst a boatload of other things. doesn't apply
cleanly at all to anything remotely recent. once I get a few trivial
projects out of the way, it looks like my current employer might, just
might, be paying me to enhance RTG. that would be rad. if I, you know,
was a C coder. but hey...they're payin'!
