[rtg] rtgplot 0.9 problems

It would seem something between rtg 0.8.1 and 0.9 caused this.  I checked 
out and built from 0.8.1 source, and now I'm not seeing the problem with 
rtgplot.

Googling for the glibc warning lead me to 
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=29247.  This sounded similar to the 
libmysqlclient_r backtrace I was getting, like perhaps rtgplot was 
tickling a MySQL bug, but upgrading from 5.0.22 to 5.0.58 (that particular 
patch was in 5.0.46) didn't fix it.  It may still be a MySQL bug for all I 
know.
