[rtg] Updating interface names doesn't take effect

I've been using RTG for a few days to monitor interfaces of a Cisco 6509.

The very first time I ran the target maker script, some of the interfaces 
did not have names or desc's on the Cisco. 

Then I added names/desc on Cisco, re-ran target maker. Output of target 
maker indicated that it was grabbing the new names and trying to insert 
them into db, but they are not in the db. 

Does this make sense? DB functionality is definitely working since when I 
add new interfaces (i.e. no shutdown on Cisco side) they get added to db 
and appear in new pollings, but name changes dont seem to work.
